Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) is used for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of cobalt octoate accelerator at room and elevated temperatures.
For room temperature application it is necessary to use MEKP together with a cobalt accelerator (e.g.Accelerator).
This catalyst gives much faster gel time required for GRP pipe manufacturing.
